Making of a Pilot !!!!

When a child is born there is a whole life plan
set,
Parents have already decided what my child is
gonna get,
But there are few who have left it on the child
to decide,
Whether they wanna act, sing, dance ,write or
ride.
From the few who were allowed to do their
own selection,
Decided they wanted to have Flying as their
addiction,
Those children were a class apart sets,

Today they proudly call themselves Pilots..!!

Today I am trying to express their story,
Eagerly as they wait to show in the sky their
glory.
There was a day when they did their first
flight,

Everything just seemed to be heading right,
From the deep blue sea to the cloudless skies,
They knew it then,this is where their future
lies.

In the first flight they learnt how to take off
and land,
The instructor stood by them to give a
helping hand,
Wearing the white uniform shirt of MARCO
POLO,

They completed successfully their first solo.
Then came the party hard time,
Some had whisky and others sweet lime,
Boasting about their first three landings,
They looked forward for everyone’s
understandings. .

As they thought it would get easier to start
dating,
There came along their private, instrument
and commercial with multi rating,
They learnt everything from dead reckoning
to ILS,
But never knew things back home were
getting into a mess.
After getting their license they returned to
their land,
To find in this field it was getting difficult
even to stand.

It was never thought of that they are falling
prey,
To an institution called the DGCA.
Then came the papers of composite, RT and
regulations,
It was a brand new level of everyone’s
frustrations,
Half the time we were attending ground
classes,
Back in the bags went the aviator sunglasses.
With every passing day there was a new
tension,
Whether we will be able to do our license
conversion??
Every time when the necessary documents
were arranged,
DGCA always wanted the rules to be changed.
The lucky ones on time got their licenses
converted,
New problem= airlines want pilots that are
type rated.
Now you could hear people sighing,”dear oh
dear”,
Others were sinking in rum, whisky and
beer..!!
Some who could afford went back for their
further training,
For others back home it was just bad luck
raining,
Deep within we knew there was a need of lot
of money,
Parents kept consoling,”ever ything will be
fine, don’t worry honey”!!
Some thought for them there were jobs
waiting aplenty,
Once they got their B737 or Airbus three
twenty,
Even after getting their type rating endorsed,
They were seeing pilots being outsourced,
The deadline to fire them was always getting
delayed,
Banks were wondering,”how will they be
paid”??
Once the loan amounts started piling,
Most of us forgot what is smiling.
Followed by the sleepless nights,
Thinking when we could get our rights.
In our bed motionless we lay,
Remembering people saying for a Job you
have to pay,
With every person there comes a new taunt,
Its feels the life has begun to haunt,
Questions galore but no reply,
Everyone wanted us just to fly.
Some realized in aviation now there was
nothing to yield,
Its finally time that we switched our field,
Some joined call center and some
construction,

Few got a new mentor and others
frustration..!!

It can clearly be seen all the parents are
worried,
Some of them want their kids to be married,
Others were delaying to start their family,
As without job how will they survive happily??

Everyone says stop acting like a jerk, go and
find some work,
With salaries you will also get some perk, no
matter for time being even if it is being a
clerk.
The time is rough so everything we have to
hear,
But as we have done all right no need to fear.
Ones who believe are stuck to this line,
Hoping one day the sky is gonna be mine,
They have still kept a high spirit,
Thinking airlines will one day opt them on
merit,
Its just like everyone is hunting only for one
treasure,
When will there be a vacancy for a fresher??
Its just for our parents we have to fight,
Prove it to the world they were always right,
One day they will say it standing in the crowd,
“this is our child and she has made us
proud”!!

I hope that day is not too far away,
Everyone of us would be thrusting down the
runway,
Waiting for that day is not gonna be wrong,
